We've been thinking of Mila. Today especially. Ben told us a couple of days ago that today was her birthday. My heart aches for you as you skate and sit by the fire. I think of you daily in passing and wonder how you are. I found your posts the other day and found myself comforted by being somehow connected to the mother of a girl I knew only through occasional connections and a multitude of beautiful stories of friendship and care shared by my boy who knew her so well and loved her gentle but fierce heart. Your Mila touched us. I know you know that. She will forever be in our hearts, our minds, our thoughts. Sending you all that I can on the wind of grief and birthday thoughts.

I hope that there were signs of her in the air, the trees and everywhere and I hope that people….so many people spoke her name today.
